We are accepting a maximum of 13 boys
The cost for our three week summer program is $3300, not including airfare.
Yeshivas Kayitz Maui – a unique Camp experience filled with תוכן, excitement, and fun. Aimed at providing a Yiddishe and Chassidishe filled summer for Bochurim coming out of Shiur Aleph and Beis Mesivta who are looking to take a break from the mainstream programs. Our fun and unforgettable camp experience will aim to help the Bochurim grow both physically and spiritually while promoting self-esteem, independence, friendship, and responsibility.
We are perched on a macadamia nut farm in Wailuku on the West Maui Mountains. Ancient streams flow down the mountain and surround our property on all sides, creating an “island on an island”. The peaceful sound of flowing water creates an all-encompassing feeling of relaxation and peace. Nestled among massive mango trees, banana groves, avocado and starfruit trees, not to mention coffee bean, fresh fruit is plentifully available for the picking. .
Directed by Rabbi Mendel & Chani Zirkind a Lubavicher couple that actually live there and experience it every day. They will be joined by a Chassidishe staff which will lead a solid learning schedule, side by side with amazing and inspiring trips and activities, all while encouraging independence, responsibility, self-esteem, and more.
Living with us on our farm for 3 weeks invites everyone into our lives and the daily grind. Every morning begins with feeding of our goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, geese and quails (and our puppy Matzah Ball and our 2 farm cats, Koa and Hobbes). The typical activities include collecting eggs, milking mama goat, planting pineapples, harvesting avocados, papayas, bananas & anything else growing on property, clearing cane grass and our streams.
The bochurim will learn the practical הלכות of living on a farm, get to watch and learn the intricacies of שחיטה and כשרות from farm to table, and much more. They will also get a “once in lifetime experience” by seeing what it’s like to live on a farm on Maui, the 2nd largest of the Hawaiian Islands.
From experiencing sunrise and Davening from the top of Haleakala, to snorkeling in the beautiful reefs surrounding the island, to hiking one of the tallest mountains in the world to taking in breathtaking views as you drive around, the bochurim will a gain a new respect and appreciation for the wonders that Hashem created.
Put on your hiking boots or sneakers and prepare to be wowed. Maui has 9 microclimates, giving us access to 10,000 foot volcanoes, moon-like crater hikes, lava rock trails, waterfall crossings and bamboo forests.
